Manager - Business Finance
We have been retained by our client, a MNC bank to identify a "Manager - Business Finance" to be based at Mumbai.
The role:
• To support the Head Private Bank, India and India Private Bank Management.
• To do superior level of judgment in the Finance team.
• To assess the impact of proposed business activities on the performance.
• To identify trends, providing effective solutions and advice to the business head.
• To provide detailed insight and support on key business parameters & performance metrics to the sales teams.
• To submit financial reporting and MIS support to the head private bank, India & private bank India management team
• To engage with the India BIU team to ensure MIS data sources are used and applied correctly, new MIS requirements are sourced correctly and reported on time and analyze regional submissions for assurance of data quality.
• To engage with sales, marketing, product and operations to provide MIS in support of new business developments such as campaigns, product launches and specific client or RM level analysis.
• To expand MIS capability in new areas such as cost performance management, cost forecasting, market-specific KPI for business planning, monitoring of revenue initiatives, investment forecasting, investment performance and capacity.
• To plan and deliver client, product and RM level MIS including profitability analysis, client segmentation, AUM mix and penetration, tracking business momentum etc. and also to develop and generate meaningful sub-GL level information which is used by business leaders to understand and manage the business.
• To monitor revenues and costs on a monthly basis with variance analyses vis-à-vis budgets and forecasts.
• To assist in preparation and compilation of budgets & forecasts for the private bank.
• To enforce financial control disciplines on suspense or sundry accounts and ensure regular reconciliation.
• To build internal and external communications like head private bank india, private bank head's management team, country CB business finance, country BIU team, country operations teams, group private bank finance & SBIM team.
• To contribute quality of decision making in the PB business.
• To influence and challenge issues, providing judgment and assessment of impact of proposed activities on performance.
• To identify trends, providing remedial solutions and advice to business units.
• To upgrade and manage the reporting processes to support the dynamic business environment.
Candidates should be CAs / MBAs with 5 - 7 years of experience having knowledge of:
• MIS and finance in a private wealth management business operation.
• Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning skills, conceptual knowledge of quantitative techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office or PC and Data Management.
• Knowledge of product, revenue and cost drivers that influence the private wealth management business performance.
• Ability to work in matrix-managed and multi-business environment.
