Reports to: VP Enterprise Analytics

This is a new role due to growth and will be leading the Pharmacy Analytics Practice serving as the SME under the VP Enterprise Analytics. The guru in this role must be heavy in research methods, stat methods, pharmacoeconomics, elasticity and regression analysis and have a SAS background. This role will have a team of direct reports (1 seasoned PhD Stat with a strong health science background and multiple analysts).

Person leading this practice must be competent on delivering a message and good at introducing different ways to look at data. The role will require good negotiations and persuasion skills to Sr Mgr and other business units that are more pricing oriented. This role is still hands-on with the data – not necessarily coding but understanding how to massage the data and mentoring staff on this.

Qualifications:
• 10 yrs of analytics experience with 5 years of experience leading
pharmacy analytics projects (PBM or Insurance Industry experience or
equivalent). The will require a pharmacoeconomics, pharma
analytics, pharmacy outcomes modeling or pharmacy utilization mgmt
analytics background.
• Strong preference for a PhD.
• Expertise in Research and Statistical methods, Pharmecoeconomics,
Elasticity, OLS and Logistic Regression analyses.
o Familiar with controlled program evaluations and quasi
experimental designs
o Experienced with how to quantify the economic consequences
associated with different product designs and formulary
decisions (i..e, the inclusion or exclusion of certain drugs
from a formulary).
o In depth understanding of specialty drugs and their impact
on overall pharmacy spend.
• SAS programming background - can lead staff in a SAS shop
• Strong Communication, leadership skills and ability to be a team
player. Must possess savvy business sense, have ability to
multitask and deliver results in a timely fashion.
