They also happen to be identical twins, in early twenties, hoping to leave the squalor behind and move into a life of prosperity and dignity. But the similarity ends here. Guddu works as a trainee in a small NGO firm in the city. He hopes to climb up to the top of the corporate ladder. He wants to be a bona fide member of the burgeoning Indian middle class. His career has only just begun though and the road to bourgeoisie is both long and arduous. Yet Guddu is at it. He is honest, diligent and careful. Especially careful. | Morning Walk ' Movie Review | | 'Morning Walk ' Movie Review Cast: Anupam Kher, Sharmila Tagore, Divya Dutta, Rajit Kapoor. Director: Arup Dutta From the looks of it, you'd feel that MORNING WALK is about senior citizens/septuagenarians, but director Arup Dutta crams the film with so many sub-plots that the film loses focus. It's like starting at Churchgate, but instead of heading towards Virar, you end up at Thane. Okay, let me explain. Had the director stayed loyal to one story [the senior citizens' concern for each other], it would've been an emotional experience. But the story changes gears pretty often. In the beginning, you feel that it's a bahu [Divya Dutta] versus father-in-law [Anupam Kher] saga. Later, the young couple [Shayan Munshi, Nargis] start singing songs and the focus shifts to the love story. Towards the end, it's back to the senior citizens and the twist in their lives. | 'SANKAT CITY' Movie Review | | 'SANKAT CITY' Movie Review Cast: Kay Kay Menon, Dilip Prabhawalkar, Anupam Kher, Rimi Sen. Director: Pankaj Advani Rating:***1/2 Don't give SANKAT CITY a miss just because the film doesn't star the Khans or Kumars. This 'City' is worth a visit! SANKAT CITY may not boast of stars to lure the audiences, it may not have a colossal canvas [on the contrary, the making is very basic], it may not have a terrific musical score to act as a hook [there are hardly any songs here], but SANKAT CITY succeeds, and succeeds largely, in its endeavour: Make the viewer laugh at the right places. One walks in with zilch expectations [the promos don't do justice to the product], but when you make an exit from the audi, it's with the feeling that the 2 hours were well spent. | 'SHORT KUT' Movie Review | | 'SHORTKUT' Movie Review Cast: Akshaye Khanna, Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao Director: Neeraj Vora SHORT KUT is meant to be a comedy, but is actually a tragedy for the viewers. Till quite some time back, remaking a successful film was considered a safe bet. In fact, the most reliable, foolproof way at hitting paydirt. But let's not forget, not all stories have the potential to strike gold. SHORT KUT, a remake of the Malayalam film UDAYANANU THANAM, written by Anees Bazmee and directed by Neeraj Vora, arrives a bit too late. Actually, it should've hit the screens a couple of years ago. That's because it abounds and relies completely on clichés and which, in turn, makes you break into a big yawn. | Click on following links and enjoy the best quality Wallpapers, Videos, Jokes, Greetings, Quotes, Poems and many more.
