Responsible for producing and reviewing SAS time series forecasts. The Analyst uses statistical forecasting methods (GLM, and Longitudinal Analysis; develop linear and non-linear deterministic forecasting models; perform residual analysis and run autocorrelations tests); interpret and present results from technical data analyses to clients using non-technical language producing forecasts that support demand planning decisions and utilizes established analytical methods to develop national and int'l demand plans - support the daily planning processes related to the creation of forecasts and production – coming up with production recommendations and supporting what makes sense (and why) on a daily basis directly conversing via telephone with global clientele. The cores responsibility of this role is that of a quantitative programmer with strong business acumen while also being consultative in nature internally partnering with other cross functional groups and affiliated partners.
Additionally, the Analyst will seek out opportunities to improve the existing technical and business processes. Other responsibilities include: Delivering forecasts according to the established schedules; Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of forecasts; Publishing forecasts, volume plans, and revision documents; Staying apprised of actual performance versus forecast.
The Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field - Economics, Sociology, Math, Statistics, business or a related field and at least 1.5 years of related business experience. Must have a strong skillset in SAS with the Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Access) and working knowledge of SQL methods – strong quantitative programming is a must. Expertise in SAS is a must - excellent communication skills a must have.
